From drops, a flood is born
Upcoming Blog Topics: Mastering Candlesticks, Market Structure, and Smart Money with Python
Hey again — Ozy here.
Now that the blog is live, I want to give you a quick look at what’s coming next.
This blog is all about combining candlestick price action with Smart Money Concepts (SMC) — no lagging indicators, no hype. Just real strategies, clean code, and honest explanations that connect the dots between how the market moves and why it moves.
We’re starting from the foundation:
What a candlestick really tells you — not just its shape, but the story behind price movement, sentiment, and liquidity
How to identify all the key candle types: Doji, Hammer, Engulfing, Marubozu, Spinning Top, and more
Coding candle pattern detection from scratch in Python — clean, simple, and logical
Then we’ll go further and look at candlestick patterns that suggest real intention — signs of reversal, continuation, fake-outs, and traps. You’ll learn how to scan for these patterns using your own code, instead of relying on generic scanners or prebuilt tools.
After that, we’ll shift focus into the structure behind the candles — the real engine: Smart Money Concepts.
We’ll explore:
How market structure builds and breaks
Why certain price levels act as magnets for liquidity
How to spot order blocks, breaker blocks, and fair value gaps
What stop hunts and liquidity grabs look like in real price action
How setups like Turtle Soup, liquidity sweeps, and mitigation zones work
We’ll also talk about money flow — how large players (smart money) enter and exit the market using techniques that leave footprints in the candles. We’ll look at how buy and sell orders, market vs. limit orders, and volume imbalances often lead to the price behavior we see on charts every day.
And as always, we’ll back it all up with Python tools and simple scripts to help you visualize and test these ideas on real market data. Everything will be visual, hands-on, and practical — no theory overload, no academic fluff.
This blog is for traders who want to read between the candles, understand market intent, and build tools that work for their strategy — not someone else’s template.
If that’s you, you’re in the right place.
See you in the next post.
